UEA asked us to create an AR filter for their social channels to celebrate the 2022 Graduation. They wanted a fun social way for students to celebrate their achievements on the day and as encouragement to share this with their social network to increase UEA brand awareness, even though this was not the primary goal of the project.
The concept we decided to move forward with was to the iconic mortarboard associated with graduation, augmented the head piece onto the users head and including their year of graduation above in the USA brand. As this event brings together the whole family. We added the functionality that 3 users in frame would have a graduation cap augmented onto their heads, so they have the option for family members to join in and share the moment.
